This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Jolly Ranchers will serve as both rewards and essential elements in our American Revolution unit. As part of our yearly taxation simulation, students will learn about the historical significance of taxation during the American Revolution era.

Distributing Jolly Ranchers as "taxes" will turn a complex subject into a memorable and enjoyable experience.

In addition, students respond positively to rewards, and using Jolly Ranchers as an incentive will motivate them to actively participate in discussions, activities, and assignments throughout this school year.

By incorporating interactive and creative elements like the taxation simulation, students will develop a deeper understanding of historical events, making the American Revolution unit come alive!
