My Project

I am a first year teacher starting out in eighth grade science. I would love to be able to provide as much flexibility and agency as possible for my students in the classroom. Offering seating options other than a desk and chair allows students the opportunity to take breaks throughout the day, focus extra energy in a productive way, and regulate emotions.

The school I am starting at has a lot of students with big feelings in need of help regulating and finding the best way to learn.

I hope to allow them the space to do so by providing multiple choices of seating within the classroom. Thank you!
