Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” ― Nelson Mandela My student's spend the day getting oriented with school setting and socializing with others. My goal is for them to be socially, emotionally and academically prepared for school.

My students are a group of eager learners.

When we learn the difference in statements and questions, my students realize they have lots of question. I am so amazed at how they catch on so fast . They like things to constantly change within our classroom. I need a color printer to be able to create new things for them and create attention grabbers. My school is wonderful with diverse learners and teachers willing to think outside of the box to teach our English Language Learners. Teachers work together for our students. We are more than a school, we are a family and we do all we can to take care of our students and their families.

My Project

My students will be able to have story sequencing cards, math manipulative that are appealing to them. My students are 90% EL so things around the classroom are labeled with the picture and word to help them identify it. However, I think they would notice them and use them more if they were colorful. I will be able to create interactive activities that would interest the students.

My project will make a difference because it will make just another reason in the classroom for students to want to learn.

Four year old love colorful and shiny things. If it is new and looks interesting not the dull black and white then they show more interest. They will really interact with it and want to keep using it. Students also like to see their pictures around the room of them and their accomplishments in the classroom. This effort would be easier if they could be printed in the class.
