Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students inspire me. They are creative, thoughtful and the sky's the limit for their imagination! They absolutely love learning to code, creating animations, & dialogue. Their projects are as unique and varied as the languages, cultures they represent.

Our students think outside the box to find solutions to the daily challenges they face, and each day they bravely take chances in order to grow both personally and academically.

Together we hack, innovate and create as we learn computer science together. The students are my inspiration!

My Project

No more virtual! It is time for students to build together! These supplies will allow my students to bring their code to life in multiple ways. Using what I learned at the Infosys Pathfinders Summer Institute we will build paper circuits and code LEDs to light up, engineer with servos, and code their movements, we will also code patterns to embroider.

Creative Design and coding will come together to both inspire and showcase student's imagination.

The Cricut cutter will allow us to duplicate our designs and create variations with ease. We can't wait to build with our own hands instead of using virtual simulators.

We learned basic coding skills together virtually last year and now we will use and improve those skills to design & build prototypes together hands-on.
