My Project

I teach an amazing group of AP Literature students who are curious, insightful, and eager to engage with complex texts. They thrive on discussions and love diving deep into literature to analyze themes, characters, and the author’s craft. My students are thoughtful readers who deserve the best tools to help them succeed.

By providing fresh copies of A Streetcar Named Desire, this project will allow my students to annotate directly in their books.

This hands-on interaction is key for AP success, as it helps them track key moments, analyze language, and make connections. Annotation is an essential skill for mastering the AP exam, but it’s also a tool for lifelong learning. These copies will allow students to make the text their own, fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation of this timeless classic.

My goal is to give every student an equitable opportunity to engage with this text meaningfully. Many of my students don’t have access to personal copies of novels, and this project ensures that every one of them has the resources they need to succeed. My students’ dedication to their learning and their enthusiasm for literature inspire me every day, and I want to give them the tools they deserve to thrive.
