This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As we know many children suffered during the pandemic and so did their learning. They were left to develop skills at home that are most successfully taught within a classroom setting. Also, not having full access to on-level books in their homes made it difficult for them to achieve their reading goals. This had an effect on the desire to read and their interest in it depleted as well as their reading scores. I want to bring back that love of reading with a new class set of books that would increase the joy and interest of reading in the students again!
