My Project

Students will be able to experience modern biotechnology techniques and see themselves as scientists! As we continue to investigate novel diseases and new discoveries in the world, the need for future researchers increases.

Providing students with opportunities to partake in real-world molecular techniques in the classroom also allows them to develop transferable laboratory skills.

For example, micropipetting and gel electrophoresis. My students are bright and inquisitive. They enjoy hands-on experiences in the classroom that makes the learning tangible and engaging. Time constraints and exposure to harmful chemicals make it difficult to implement techniques. However, resources are now available to make these experiences efficient and safe in classroom settings. Support in this project will make these experiences accessible to my students.
