My Project

In a world where screens dominate, I want to give my students the chance to connect, communicate, and build friendships through classic board games. As a first-year teacher, I quickly realized how much phones limit social interaction. Instead of engaging with peers, students often scroll mindlessly or play solo games. I want to change that.

The board games I’m requesting will provide structured, engaging alternatives that encourage teamwork, problem-solving, and friendly competition.

Games like Connect 4, Heads up!, and Jenga will help students practice patience, strategy, and sportsmanship while also fostering real, face-to-face interactions. These skills go beyond the classroom, helping students build confidence in social situations and form lasting friendships.

My goal is simple: to create a space where students can truly be kids again. I want them to experience the joy of winning, the lessons in losing, and the excitement of working together toward a common goal. Most importantly, I want them to put down their phones and engage with the people around them.

My students are bright, creative, and full of potential. They just need the right opportunities to interact, collaborate, and develop social skills in a fun and relaxed environment. By supporting this project, you’ll be giving them more than just games—you’ll be giving them the gift of connection.
