Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are four years old. For many this is their first time in school. They are primarily English language learners. They are excited and love learning.

Young children learn best through hands-on activities and play.

My students learn letters, numbers, colors, and thematic topics by working together and having fun. Our school just opened and, due to budgetary issues, lacks many materials necessary in order to run a rich classroom environment. Often we are limited due to lack of resources.

My Project

The students in my class have a passion for all things art! The art center is one of the most popular centers in our classroom. The students like to chose a variety of materials and create mixed media projects.

We need to replace and refresh our supply of art materials, so that the children can continue their creative explorations.

We need art materials such as glue, pompoms, buttons, craft tape and paper to use in creating collages and sculptures. We would also like a set of blank books so that we can create art books for graduation. These materials will also be available for the the children to use freely during center time.
