This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Sharon LePage Plante wrote, "For those with learning disabilities, today's tools for differentiation no longer hold the stigma they used to nor highlight disabilities, but provide opportunities to find success in the classroom."

My special education students are all between the ages of 18-22 and are working on pre-vocational, transition, and career readiness skills.

My students are kind and loving individuals who have been identified with various different significant disabilities. They come to school every morning with big smiles and big hearts. Throughout the day students are presented with many different learning activities which are designed to help solidify the skills that were introduced throughout high school. The students within this classroom are encouraged to complete all activities of daily living with as much independence as possible.

My Project

Over the past year, the students at WCTC have created their own learning garden. Our garden has finally grown and is now producing herbs and vegetables. Students are being able to see all of their hard work paying off.

Our class would like to juice the produce we have grown and start selling green juice to staff and students.

This donation would allow this classroom to create a self-sustaining business opportunity. Our class would be able to use this juicer to juice our vegetables and herbs and create a tasty healthy drink. This drink can be added to the coffee cart that already goes room to room to offer all staff and students a healthy way to start the morning. There are many different health benefits from juicing vegetables and our classroom would like to bring this opportunity tot the entire school community.
