This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students love interactive read aloud! I would love to bring in books that will provide them the opportunity to collaborate with each other and also have illustrations that provide opportunities for use of imagination. We do daily read aloud to support our English language learners in practicing their communication skills. I have based these books on what I have seen to be popular among other Tk/Kinder classrooms. In addition to the interactive books that I am asking for, I have included a request for a TPT gift card to purchase a unit on the science of reading with decodable books.

This will provide me with the resources to help my students start reading.
