Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We live in such a chaotic world. School should be a place where children can explore, feel safe, and take risks. All students deserve this! I want our classroom to feel like home. My students LOVE to read, so I want to create a comfy reading corner for them to tune out the world around them, and indulge in their imagination!

I want to be able to provide my students with a peaceful corner in our room, where they can get lost in a book and continue to develop their love for reading!

During Covid, we had to get rid of all our rugs, comfy pillows, seats, and anything that was shared, or could be shared amongst the children. I want to bring some life back to my classroom, some normalcy. Many of my students leave school and head home to crowded, and loud living spaces. In our classroom I want to be able to provide them with some serenity.

Reading is an essential skill that needs to be developed and strengthened in order for children to achieve success. Please help me provide my students with a beautiful, engaging, and comfy space to enjoy a good book!
