My students need snacks to give them energy throughout the day!! Some of my ESL students attend after school and they get hungry. We also need materials to clean the room before and after snack.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Poland, Ecuador, Albania, China, and Greece are just some of the countries that describe the children I service. I have many students who enter speaking little to no English. Although they may all come from different countries, they have the same goal in mind. They all want to come to school to learn and have fun. This school is located in a low-income/high poverty school district. When students come to school, they are granted the chance to forget anything bad going on outside school and learn and grow alongside their friends.
My ENL students bring such diversity into the classroom.
They not only learn in the classroom but are given the chance to teach others about where they come from as well. They are proud of where they are from, but also excited to learn about America. They are eager to learn English to communicate with all their new friends. These students are our future and I want to give them the chance to become successful students even if their English language skills are limited.
My Project
My students in ESL after school often tell me they are hungry. After being in school all day, they come to ESL to improve their language abilities. By providing snacks to my ESL students they can focus on learning rather than being hungry. Snacks will help my students focus and be motivated to learn. When students come to school, it is a time for them to learn and spend time with friends. I don't want my ESL students to worry about being hungry. I often have small groups of mixed level students. Some students bring in snack from home while others do not. I want to be able to provide something to my students who do not have a snack from home.
Please, help my students be prepared and energized to learn!
Spring is upon us but the germs are still in our classroom. With Lysol spray we can get rid of all the germs leftover from the winter. The Febreze air fresheners will help get our room smelling as clean as it looks once we clean all the germs away. We recently received Glade plugin refills but didn’t get the plugin unit. Without that we cannot use our Glade plugin refills. We also received many incredible snacks, but I would love to be able to provide my students with drinks also. My students are below grade level and need supports to help them. The Little Level Readers Set Level D will help my struggling students. Once my students have a nice snack and a clean room, they will be ready to learn! Help me to feed their minds and bodies.
