My Students

Our school has utilized distance learning since March 16th. We have developed online curriculum for students to access.

Despite the district distributing needed technology, my students don't have the adult support to be able to complete their online assignments.

They need hands-on materials in order to keep learning during this time.

My Project

Despite having technology to use, some of my students are not able to access the internet consistently. Some are being raised by grandparents or have parents who are working ten hours a day and do not have the adult support they need in order to do their assignments.

These materials will give my special needs students hands-on activities that they can do again and again in order to master basic reading and writing skills.

They will love the tiles to build words and the magnetic boards to practice their writing skills. They will have fun flipping the word family books to get faster and faster at reading the words. The level one books will help them put their basic sight words into real reading practice.
