Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The materials I'm requesting will transform our brand-new library into a vibrant space where students can explore, imagine, and discover. Access to a diverse selection of books will help build their literacy skills, foster a love of reading, and expand their understanding of the world. Comfortable seating and engaging displays will make the library an inviting place where students feel inspired to learn and grow.

My goal is to create a welcoming, well-stocked library that sparks curiosity and a lifelong love of reading in all of our students.

I want every student to see themselves represented in the stories they read, find books that fuel their interests, and have a safe, cozy space to explore new ideas. Ultimately, I hope this library becomes the heart of our school community.

My students are curious, creative, and eager to learn. They come from diverse backgrounds, each bringing their own unique experiences and perspectives to our school. Despite any challenges they may face, they show up every day with excitement and a hunger for knowledge. By giving them access to a vibrant library filled with books that reflect their identities and interests, I know we can help them see the power of their own stories and dreams.
