Have you ever sat in math class and wondered, "When am I ever going to use mean, measurement, and simple interest in real life?" I would love to give my students real world projects that will show them how we use math in every day scenarios. There are countless concepts and skills that we use in our careers and finances. I am teaching all high school grades in math with four different classes this year (Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, & Senior Transitional Math).
I would love to use hands-on projects to show them how important math really is and how we use it every single day and probably don't even realize it.
Your donation would help me to purchase project materials from Teachers Pay Teachers so students are engaged and taking learning into their own hands. They will be able to critically think with these STEM resources especially because they have not had a consistent math teacher in over a year. The projects and activities will be interactive and will focus on applying math outside of school now and throughout their life. Students will be better prepared for all types of careers such as the trades, business, culinary, engineering, & cosmetology. I know my students would be excited to have more hands on learning in math.
