the magical world of Agrabah!

Our students are full of energy, talent, and excitement. We are very lucky to work in a school with a strong well-rounded arts program, and this marks our second year with the Disney Musicals In Schools Grant which aims to bring a sustainable musical theatre program to students across the nation.

EBS, a small, diverse public school on the Upper East Side. Our students represent diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds and have a wide range of different learning needs and styles. Through their participation in Disney Musicals in Schools, each of our students has the opportunity to discover and develop their unique gifts and talents including performance, design, and stage management opportunities.

Through their participation in DMIS our students build confidence, strong relationships, and memories that will last a lifetime. We are incredibly lucky to work with such a fantastic group of children, and we know they deserve only the best.

My Project

With these organizational materials, the back stage crew (consisting of students in grades 4 and 5) will be able to take ownership over organizing the beautiful costumes, props and set pieces they created for our production of Disney's Aladdin Kids. Students will be able to fully immerse themselves in their roles in Disney's Aladdin Kids which will be performed March 12-14, 2020.

Our young actors have been hard at work creating their characters and devising moments to truly bring the exciting world of Agrabah to life and our young designers are working diligently to create Disney magic.

With these organizational materials, students will be able to take the final step into creating this enchanting, imaginary world.

Our students are very talented, and, perhaps, more importantly, they have been working extraordinarily hard to build this world from the ground up. The organizational tools we are asking for would help them create an organized and professional environment back stage which will in turn help our performers take their performances to the next level.

Your donation would allow us to reward their efforts by helping them bring their visions to life. Every donation, no matter how small, would make a truly significant impact on each and every student involved, empowering them to take ownership over their roles and create a production that they are truly proud to present to their school and local community.
