My Project

I get the privilege to teach 8th grade students at our school everyday. They are all so fun in their own individual ways. Through the last few years we have seen the pandemic be a major cause of isolation and age of withdrawal. I feel like this has hurt the students because they have lost the art of just hanging out with people who may not be just like them. One way I plan to use this project to bring them together and bring the community back to my classroom is by having designated “education game” days. I plan to put them with people they do not normally hang around to test the things we have learned in class by playing language arts games. I plan to make this be a way to break them out of their shells and cliques they find themselves caught in, all while still learning.
