My Students

My kids come from a place where they have received very limited resources at home, and unfortunately at school too. They are not given the materials that are necessary for them to develop their minds to their full potential. These children are so talented and special, and just need to receive an equitable opportunity that other schools get to reach their full potential.

My students come in every day doubting themselves and what they are capable of; I am working day in and day out to show these kids that they can and will succeed!

My Project

Having a Cricut maker in the classroom will allow students to see their designs come to life. This new piece of technology in our classroom will not only make the kids excited, but it will provide an incentive to get their creative juices flowing!

The Cricut will help the students' artwork come to life!

Imagine seeing your work created into something that can be shared. As a turnaround arts school, I have the opportunity to integrate different art forms into the classroom. I believe the Cricut will be a great addition to the mission of showing my students where creativity can take them. (This will also allow us to make some fun classroom t-shirts at the beginning of the year!)
