My Project

So many of our young musicians at PS 705 are quite naturally gifted with their sense of rhythm. They come into music class able to keep a steady beat and create more complex rhythms! We have some hand percussion instruments in the room, which get lots of love and use. Our instrument inventory is getting a major upgrade with our Save The Music grant which provided 36 new wind instruments! It would be wonderful to add this drum set so our percussion inventory can also get an upgrade.

This model of drum set is perfect for our needs.

It is lightweight with the basic bass and snare drum. It is also well-sized for a fifth or fourth-grade sized body. The sound is high quality but not overpowering, and it can also be used by an adult if need be to accompany a student performance.

We can also combine our new wind instruments with this drum set to potentially create the PS 705 jazz band later in the year!
