Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have a beautifully unique and vibrant group of students. My 4th graders are eager to learn and always up for a challenge. Their biggest strength as a group is their ability to show compassion and kindness.

Since we are a Title I school, my students are not always afforded the resources that they deserve.

I believe that my students deserve more. Their determination and perseverance speak wonders about what they can achieve if given the proper opportunities, resources, and care.

My Project

The academic 'summer setback' can be a real challenge when students do not have grade-level books to read at home. I would like for all of my students to have a fun and relaxing summer, while having the option to foster their literacy skills, by providing grade level texts to take home! Just imagine, 44 INCREDIBLE students relaxing on a beach or in their backyard, taking in the fresh air while engaging in a fabulous book! They have worked so hard this year! This is definitely a summer they are definitely looking forward to!
