My Students

My students are full of life, spunk, and information. They are 21st-century thinkers with questions about the world and every component of it. We serve kids in NJ. These students have an interest in working in the STEM/ medical field.

On any given day students are engaged in discussion, working in collaborative groups, playing immune system chess, working in a small group with the teacher or completing projects.

Students come ready to learn and they know that we push rigor and 100% participation. Students know I believe in them and they believe in themselves.

My Project

Students are developing organizational skills. Most times assignments aren't done because students aren't organized. They have no designated place for coursework and they have no designated place for binders. This creates chaos which can clutter their minds. We want our students ready to learn. Having binders allows our students to stay organized and having a bookshelf to keep the binders decrease classroom clutter.

The more you have, the more you are occupied, the less you have the more free you are.

This is a quote from Mother Theresa. This is a quote about establishing freedom in our minds. When there is clutter in our minds we aren't free to think. We need our students free to express themselves and think. Eliminating the clutter of paper and binders in one of the best things we can do.
