Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My class consists of 15 amazing English learning students. They have been learning virtually with their parents and other family members, guided by this public server. I see their enthusiasm and their eagerness to comply with projects and homework. Once we complete a project they are asking for another project for them to be able to create.

On April 19th, my amazing students will be in in-person instruction.

As their teacher, I would love to have a vast of materials that they can experience during math, literacy activities, since due to the current pandemic students will be recommended to have their own materials and manipulatives so that they can individually participate in learning and play activities. This will also aid in their learning of taking care of personal items and self-care to stay safe.

We educators are hopeful that our students can go back to a learning environment that they can learn and share with their peers, during their preschool experience. Our community of parents, students, and myself will appreciate the help that you are able to provide.

My Project

Multiculturalism is most effective when introduced at an early age; since it builds a young child's self-confidence, it also increases children's awareness, appreciation, and inclusion of diverse beliefs and cultures.

The resurces I have selected will allow me to create and equal educational opportunities for all students since the classroom materials will reflect the students I serve.

The chosen literature will be a stepping stone for the learner to expand by expressing themselves and their culture through projects and other visuals that might depict their culture.

It will also allow me to introduce other cultures to my students. They will learn to embrace their culture and how unique their culture is with their customs and traditions. Now I cannot do so since I service a very diverse community, but their schools have limited resources to supply such enrichment to my students. I would be grateful for any support on my project.
