My Students

Reading is a BIG part of the day in our classroom! Students enjoy reading books and our upcoming reading unit on book clubs is a great way for my students to dive deeper into books and look at them in a whole new way. I want to put books into their hands that they want to read!

I have a class of 12 enthusiastic readers who will read any chance they get.

My class consists of 12 special education students who are lively and eager to read everyday! My students are in a self-contained classroom due to their specific learning needs, many of which are literacy based.

My Project

Book clubs are a great way to get students interested in a good book! With these new resources my students will be exposed to new, great books and as a result will be able to have thoughtful discussions about characters and topics! They will learn new information as well as how to discuss their ideas within a group of peers!

Students will be able to develop their reading skills as well as their language skills with these resources.

Many of my students are struggling readers, and having a wide variety of leveled books for book clubs will help all students achieve their reading goals. All of my students have a true desire to read, and these resources will help them fuel their desire!
