Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our students come from mostly low socioeconomic backgrounds. The majority of them have very few books at home. The students depend on their weekly library time to have exposure to quality books in their native language.

Having board books in Spanish in our library would help the students have access to books on their level in their native language.

The nature of board books is that they are not meant to last very long and they help train students on how to take care of books. We need new board books to replace the ones that have aged out or become too damaged to read.
