My Students

The students I teach live in a rural area of Oklahoma.

My students are very bright and motivated.

They are fifth graders and attend public school. They are excited about learning and come to school everyday with a desire to know and do more. The students I teach are especially driven by the use of small groups and their interaction with peers. School for them is a way to explore the world around them and grasp the possibilities of what they could achieve.

My Project

Every year our fifth graders conduct a research report about a famous person of history and display their work at a school wide Wax Museum. By having our own set of Who Was? biographies we can easily read and research some of the most important people in history.

This series of inspiring, illustrated biographies is perfect for my students.

Each biography will inspire my students to learn more about some of the most important people of the past and present and will enhance their understanding of each person.

By being able to gift them with books to make their work easier and more special they will continue to work hard. A little appreciation goes a long way to students and my students give so much.
