Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Every year, our students take the CAASPP state test, as well as the ELPAC, which measures their English Language Development growth. The most effective way of having them improve their scores is to color code their answer choices and evidence in stories and word problems with highlighters or take notes in their texts with post-it notes!

Currently, we do not have enough highlighters or post-it notes, so students use pencil or crayons.

However, using pencil and crayons can make the texts hard to read, and confusing. Highlighters are transparent and post-it notes and flags can be used on the text and then removed without marking up textbooks.

The highlighters and post-it notes will definitely improve students' reading, science, and math achievement.
