Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As we approach our exciting field trip and field day, I want to provide our 3rd-grade students with a memorable and creative experience that will leave them with a lasting souvenir to remember the day. We plan to tie-dye shirts as part of our celebration, but to make this happen, we need your help!

Tie-dye is a fun and engaging activity that encourages creativity, teamwork, and personal expression.

It’s also a great way for students to celebrate the end of the year in style. The students will have the opportunity to design their own shirts, expressing their unique personalities, and then wear them proudly on the field trip and during field day.

To bring this project to life, we need the following materials for 175 students:

Dye kits (in a variety of colors to allow for creativity)

Ziplock bags (for storing the shirts while the dye sets)

Rubber bands (to create the tie-dye patterns)

Gloves (to protect students’ hands from the dye)

Plastic tablecloths (to cover the workspaces and keep the area clean)

These materials will allow each child to tie-dye their shirt and be part of a creative, team-building activity that enhances their field day and field trip experience. With your generous donation, our students will be able to not only celebrate the end of the school year but also create something special they can wear and cherish.
