This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are young little learners experiencing school for possibly the first time. They are curious about the world around them and can make anyone light up when they begin to understand it.
Students in this class are from various backgrounds, many of whom have not been in school before.
Due to the pandemic, many have still not been able to experience the excitement of classroom experiences with new supplies and/or activities.
My Project
Materials included in this project will brighten up the students engagement in the classroom. Bright colored paper is used in many ways by kinder students and turns something that is routine into something very fun. Along with bright colored paper, engaging supplies encourages students to focus on the task at hand. Students benefit from having visually appealing dice to work on their number sense. Visuals also support their ability to learn to regulate, so providing some visually stimulating materials is also necessary for their regulation.
Students enjoy having materials at hand and having different colors in all the things they use.
This will brighten up student visuals but help provide long lasting supplies that will shape their learning for the rest of the school year.
