Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My classroom is a place where students know they will receive support, both academically and personally. Our students are enthusiastic about learning, and will appreciate anything that that is offered to them to feel more comfortable and at peace in our space.

The resilience in my students — many of whom are English learners — shines through as they continue to persevere as best as they can.

They're on the path to becoming advocates for themselves and others.

This project will support their learning through the use of everyday supplies we go through every school year. Markers, colored pencils, crayons, lined paper, sticky notes, and scissors are used very often in our classroom, and snacks are always appreciated when they're hungry. Having access these supplies makes learning easier. This is what has inspired me to further create a learning experience that supports all of their needs, but also focuses on cultivating an environment that enhances the supports we have in place.

With all of these supplies and your generosity, the goal is my students will return to a welcoming environment with everything they need to be successful.
