Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Every child deserves to see themselves reflected in the stories they read. Bilingual children's books with diverse characters offer a unique opportunity to foster a love of reading while celebrating cultural identity. When children encounter stories featuring characters who share their language and background, they feel a sense of belonging and validation. This representation boosts self-esteem and encourages a lifelong appreciation for literature.  

Furthermore, bilingual books with diverse characters provide a window into different cultures and languages, fostering empathy and understanding.

By exposing children to a wide range of perspectives and experiences, we cultivate a more inclusive and compassionate society. Your generous donation will help us acquire a diverse collection of bilingual books, enriching our classroom library and empowering our students to see themselves as valued members of a global community.
