Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

iPad technology is great. It ensures that my students are prepared for the future. But it cannot be shared to its fullest without an air-print ready printer.

Many of my students don't have computers or iPads at home.

As one of my district's iPad schools, my students are learning how to use this new technology. They are creating slideshows, digital books, brochures, posters and movies. Yet, they are unable to share with their families because of lack of internet and digital tools at home.

My Project

This air-print capable printer and ink cartridges will allow my students to brilliantly print all of their work to share with families and to display it in our rooms. Our current printers are not air print ready, nor color printers, which greatly limits what work we are able to print and share.

This printer will enable us to share our printed digital work in portfolios, on our classroom walls and with our parents, who do not always have access to internet and digital tools.

The colorful printed outputs will serve to remind us to continue in our digital learning and to see how far we've come. Without the ability to print beautiful color copies of our work, it may be destined to reside inside the iPad without an audience to admire it.
