This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As we all know, there is no "one size fits all” when it comes to teaching students. Upon entering my Special Education Classroom, you will see just how true that statement is. The needs of each individual student in my classroom various across a very wide spectrum.

The use of an iPad in our classroom will help support my small group instruction.

The iPads provided by our principal for our classroom is for the use of students in centers however throughout small group instruction the use of technology is also important. My students are very visual and hands on learners. An iPad at the teacher small group instruction center will benefit my students so that we are able to watch videos pertaining to the lesson, review google slides, and play group educational games as a team. There are also times where we are short iPads from those provided.

Also, with the use of the ipad, I am able to instantly keep track of their progress monitoring (IEP Goals) in the small group lesson and while they are working independently. I am able to input data into my drive instantly and see instant trends in each child's academics.
