This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am continually inspired by my students' curiosity and resilience. They approach challenges with enthusiasm and creativity, making our classroom a vibrant place for learning. Each day, I see them tackle complex problems and support one another, forming a strong sense of community. The tablets and calculators I’m requesting will significantly enhance their learning experience, allowing them to engage with math concepts and essential financial literacy skills in a more interactive and meaningful way.

The tablets will provide access to educational apps that teach not only mathematical concepts but also financial literacy—helping students understand budgeting, saving, and managing money.

This hands-on approach will deepen their understanding and prepare them for real-world applications of math. Additionally, the calculators will facilitate efficient calculations, enabling students to focus on the problem-solving process rather than getting bogged down by computation. Together, these resources will create a dynamic learning environment where students can collaborate, explore, and excel.

My primary goal for this project is to foster a love for mathematics and equip my students with the tools they need to succeed, particularly in financial literacy. I aim to build their confidence and independence in tackling math problems and real-life financial situations, preparing them for future academic and personal challenges.

What truly makes my students special is their diverse backgrounds and unique perspectives. Each student brings something different to our classroom, enriching discussions and collaborative efforts. By providing them with the right technology, I believe they can unlock their potential, inspire each other, and achieve great things. This project is not just about acquiring new resources; it’s about creating opportunities for my students to thrive and develop a lifelong love for learning.
