Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In a classroom where students are overwhelmed and overstimulated very easily, having an area where they can decompress and gather their thoughts is essential. Wiggle chairs, and Essential Oils humidifiers, and relaxing LED lights give students a moment to decompress in their own way.

Breathing in calming smells, and exhaling passed the difficult moment.

With a area to collect and gather their thoughts it can make a difference between a blow up behavior or just a small break for a moment. During the year we noticed that a dim light and a relaxing activity is what our class needs especially after lunch or recess. Our goal is that students use these areas and request them rather than having moments of worry, anxiety, and needing time to take a break.
