This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I will learn how to support my own mental and physical health as a busy educator and other educators, gain transformative social-emotional learning and mindfulness tools to integrate seamlessly into our classrooms, and become certified to teach yoga to young people and adults.

My school has a time slot of 30 minutes daily that is for SEL time for the whole campus.

My campus services students from PreK- 5th grade.

After this professional development I will be able to lead Wellness Workshops, Teach Yoga & Meditation, Facilitate SEL Strategies, Build Lasting Community for my class and my district.

This professional development will not just last this year but many years in the future.
