My Students

My students are from a Title I school near Salt Lake City. They are excited about using technology while they learn problem solving and thinking skills. This school has a great diversity of students, from refugees, to students who have lived in the neighborhood their entire lives.

Communication, Collaboration, Critical Thinking and Creativity are skills students will need to be successful adults.

It is my goal to teach these skills utilizing technology to improve student engagement and help them develop those four critical skills along with the regular curriculum.

My Project

A subscription for platform access to BreakoutEDU will allow my students to practice the 4 Cs: Communication, Collaboration, Creativity and Critical Thinking. This platform will allow us access to ready-made digital breakout activities.

Problem solving and teamwork are important skills for students to master.

As students work in teams to "break out" of the digital box, they will need to work together and collaborate. The problems they will need to solve vary according to the curriculum chosen for that breakout.

With access to the BreakoutEDU website, we will have access to both digital breakout materials and physical breakout materials. Our school already owns the boxes and locks for the physical breakouts, the locks I've included in this will be used to enhance that kit. This subscription will give us great resources for many break outs.
