My Students

In this coming school year, I will be transferring to a new school district. My students will have never experienced Breakout EDU. In my current classroom, my students love it. They are eager when they get a box and have so many moments to shine. Quiet students become leaders while others learn to share and work together. My students need opportunities to explore, collaborate, and become further engaged in their learning. Breakout EDU is the way to go for this.

My Project

Escape rooms are a popular recreational activity and Breakout EDU has brought this into the classroom. The concept is simple - take a wooden box, add a hasp and a few locks, and provide clues. Let the students’ natural curiosity and excitement do the rest. By the end, students will have (hopefully) found and figured out all of the clues, enabling them to unlock all the locks and complete the game before time runs out.

It's time for something different in schools.

Imagine students participating in Breakout EDU sessions instead of mindless worksheets. The components in my cart will be used to develop and play the learning games. The locks, UV light/ink, and hasp are used as the game play items. Students will have to collaborate to solve riddles (based on math and history content) to unlock to locks, read invisible ink, and unlock the entire hasp to open a box. Isn't this a better way to learn?
