Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I absolutely adore my students for their eagerness to learn and their passion for making a positive impact in the world. They are creative, empathetic, and have a deep curiosity about the world around them.

The materials that we are seeking through this project will help to foster their growth by providing them with access to books that represent diverse perspectives, including books featuring LGBTQ and BIPOC characters and themes.

By having a classroom library that reflects the richness of the world around them, students will be able to connect with literature on a personal level and learn to appreciate the unique experiences and backgrounds of others.

Through these books, we will explore a variety of social issues and empower students to be active agents of change in their communities. We will engage in critical discussions about topics such as racial justice, gender equity, and LGBTQ rights, and students will develop their critical thinking and communication skills as they engage in meaningful dialogue with their peers.

In the end, our goal is to equip our students with the knowledge and tools they need to become compassionate and effective advocates for social justice. With your support, we can make this vision a reality and help our students become the change-makers of tomorrow.
