My Students

The students who take my engineering and robotics classes are a part of a large, urban school and come from many different cultural, ethnic, and economic backgrounds. However, these pieces of their identities do not define them.

The students who take my classes are curious, creative, and in general, they are thinkers.

They come in every day willing to learn and be challenged. They are future engineers and scientists, and I want to help start them off on the right foot.

My Project

Learning through hands on experiences is so important in all subjects, especially in STEM. As my engineering students learn about electrical circuits and as they start programming, having the physical supplies to make circuits will make a world of difference.

As my engineering students build with breadboards, LEDs, resistors, wires and collect data and information with multimeters, it will help create meaning and a better understanding of how circuits work.

My students will be able to create, test, and redesign as they physically manipulate circuits as they work to understand the complexity behind them. Having this real world knowledge will help propel them with work ready skills.
