This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Recently, I had the privilege of receiving new band members. Some students wanted to be in the program, while others were forced into the class. What’s so good about the situation is that many of the students who did not want to be in the class grew to love the class. Unfortunately, there aren’t enough instruments for the students. Therefore they had to choose a secondary option. Many of the students who chose the secondary option did not have the money to get a mouthpiece.

Therefore, I am asking for your help to purchase brass mouthpieces for my brass members so they can practice at home, and not have to worry their parents about the cost of mouthpieces.

This contribution will give them the opportunity to go above and beyond on their respective instruments. It’ll also be a way to help those who do not plan to stay in the program but still contribute while they are in the band.
