Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am a brand new teacher who just graduated from college. I will teach an incredible group of students at a Title I school, where more than half come from low-income families. They come from diverse backgrounds and they all will bring a unique perspective to our classroom. I
I am requesting essential classroom setup supplies.
This includes scissors, markers, whiteboards, and paper. Many of my students lack access to basic supplies at home, so providing these tools will ensure they can fully participate in classroom activities without worrying about having the right materials. An organized classroom with organizers will create a conducive learning environment, while basic school supples will stimulate learning and make the classroom inviting. They are all given a chromebook to use in the classroom so the headphone will be a greta way to keep the classroom quiet while they work.
My goals for this project are to promote equity by ensuring all students have the tools they need, enhance learning by allowing students to engage deeply with the curriculum, and create a positive environment that makes students feel valued and excited about learning. My students' resilience and enthusiasm make them special, and their diverse experiences will create a positive classroom community. Supporting this project will provide them with the essential supplies and environment they need to thrive academically and personally, making a lasting impact on their education and future.
