My Students

Do you remember how nervous and yet excited you were for your first dissection in science class? Most students consider dissections to be one of the most memorable moments of their middle or high school education, and yet many are not afforded the opportunity to engage in this experience.

My students are wonderful, engaged juniors and seniors studying neuroscience.

This is a science topic not taught often in high-need schools. Our school is racially diverse with a 93% Black, Hispanic and Asian student body, and three-fourths of the school is eligible for free or reduced lunch.

My Project

Many students love science classes for their hands-on learning opportunities. With your support in helping us obtain 19 Sheep brains, students will have the chance to visualize what they have learned in class about the anatomy of the human brain. This one-of-a-kind experience will allow for students to develop a rich understanding of the structure and functions of mammalian brains.

With our school facing increasing budget cuts every year, we have been left with no money for science supplies.

Your donations will ensure that my students will continue to engage in exciting, transformative learning experiences that will enrich their education and inspire a new generation of scientists.
