Students in my elementary class love school and love learning. With recent budget cuts, they are often missing out on some resources to make this learning possible. My students live in a psychiatric residential treatment facility (PRTF) and attend school on the same campus. Each student has unique challenges and amazing potential.
I focus on flexibility and creativity to impact each unique learner in my classroom.
Students in my class often perform multiple grade levels behind due to their mental health issues that have led to multiple out of school placements before enrolling in my school. I work individually with each student to give them a sense of belonging and to awaken their love of learning that they may have lost along the way.
My students process information my seeing it, hearing it, and living it. The amazing multimedia resources provided through Brain Pop will make learning come alive for my students. The animated movies, interactive quizzes and learning games capture and hold my students attention. It makes learning fun!
The donations will support struggling learners by giving them access to multimedia videos through Brain Pop.
My class will watch videos, take quizzes and play games related to our Common Core standards. This unique approach to learning will keep my students engaged. Due to recent budget cuts in my school, we are losing access to Brain Pop this year. My students and I are sad to see this great resource go and we need your help. We need your support to keep our learning moving forward!
