My Project

My school gave me the opportunity to develop a course devoted to table-top gaming. Brain Games is a very popular elective course, but the materials do not come cheap. Students challenge themselves mentally by playing a new game every class period while developing social skills. The best part about this class is the students learn to have fun in a way that does not involve a screen! The students learn to strategize and take on new challenges every day. They also learn to express themselves and hold their peers accountable. Being able to tell a classmate when they can’t make a play or aren’t following the rules properly is great practice for expressing themselves when they are in a work environment. The kids develop real-world skills while thinking all they are doing is playing some games.
