Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As an educator, I strive to create an environment where students can thrive academically and socially. Providing access to a variety of snacks in the classroom plays a crucial role in helping them stay focused, energized, and engaged, especially while working on projects, preparing for exams, or studying for finals. These snacks not only help students maintain concentration, but they also promote collaboration and peer interaction, allowing them to build stronger relationships and deepen their understanding of the material. Ensuring that students have snacks available during these intense study sessions and major projects helps keep them motivated and ready to grow into the leaders I know they are capable of becoming.

A popcorn machine, for example, would provide a fun and interactive way for students to engage with their peers and stay focused on their assignments.

It would alleviate the distractions of hunger and allow them to focus on their academic goals without feeling self-conscious. I am reaching out to our community to help provide snacks for my students. Your generous donation would ensure that my students have the necessary fuel to stay engaged in their studies, particularly during study sessions and crucial project work.

Students at WHS are incredibly resilient and strive to meet their academic goals despite facing numerous challenges. Your support in providing them with access to snacks will make a tangible difference in their ability to focus and succeed.
