My Students

Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world. Nelson Mandela.

My kids walk into my classroom, everyday, so full of life, ready to learn, and excited for what is in store for them that day.

They come from various cultures and economic statuses. My kids love to read and write. They just need the "write" tools. I want to give them the resources to read, write, draw, and to be as creative as they can be!

Martin Luther King, Jr. said it best, "The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character - that is the goal of true education."

My goal as an educator, is to teach and provide the resources for my students to reach their given potential, in order for them to change the world.

My Project

Everyday at 11:30(because we have a lie lunch) we have a snack in our classroom. Many of my students do not bring a snack and it's hard to provide extras for everyone. My students came up with this project idea so that everyone could have healthy snacks. Healthy snacks will be the fuel my students need to make it through the day studying. If they are hungry, they unable to focus.Having these healthy snacks and water will keep their bodies and minds going to engaged in learning. My students will also learn to choose healthy snack alternatives and understand that there are healthy options when it comes to snacks. By choosing nutritious snacks, my students will begin their journey toward healthy eating.
