Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
My kids are exploring the world in our Environmental Systems class and are very interested in learning about Native/First Persons and how they lived in harmony with their environment. These books will allow them access to the history and culture of a people who worked with their surroundings instead of altering it.
My kids want to know more about the lifestyles and methods that were used to maintain a balance with the planet.
Help my kids resurrect the ancient knowledge and traditions that have been ignored and lost while they learn about a culture outside of their own. Braiding Sweetgrass is a phenomenal book that highlights the experiences of an Indigenous scientist and demonstrates how all living things provide us with gifts and lessons every day.
