Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are ones who define the word resiliency. They live in low socioeconomic communities, which results in limited access to resources. However, this does not have a negative effect on their abilities intellectually, socially, or inter-personally.

We take all of the bad and turn it into good.

The challenges my students face on a daily basis give them a unique view of the world. We overcome these challenges together through our classroom's ability to work as one community.

It is amazing to watch these fifth graders grow to become the leaders they were born to be!

My Project

My students are READING MACHINES this year! We are keeping track of their read books and filling up logs as we go, which is amazing; however it also means my library is beginning to look very bare with new books that interest them.

I am purchasing new book sets to continue to engage my students with exciting new series!

Many of my students hand selected these books and are excited to see them in the classroom!

We love our growing library and love to see our students get so excited about their increasing love of literature!!!
