My Project

Middle school is such an unbearably hard time for so many. My goal in teaching middle school is to make it a little less difficult while giving my students the resources they need to succeed. I teach at a Title I school, which means that the majority of our students qualify for free and reduced-price lunch.

When home life is turbulent, I want my classroom to be a place where students are able to relax and feel at home.

I create all of my own worksheets and units to inspire students to learn to love literature and history, but unfortunately that comes with lose papers and middle schoolers really struggle with organization. We have tried using binders, and that has also been a struggle due to pages tearing. This book binding machine would allow us to bind our unit packets together for easy access on our table, and allow me to easily check everyone's daily reflection to make sure they are reading a book they love.

The cost of getting all of what I would need printed and bound would be almost $500 per unit. This allows me to bind them myself into the future in a more sustainable way.
